Circa 1817. 3-storey and basement terraces, forming court with 2 arched pends to W, one blocked to E. Ashlar. Moulded cill band at 1st floor. Cornice and blocking course.
N SIDE: 11-bay terrace, 2 boldly moulded Ionic pilastered doorpieces, that to E side with unusual elaborate wrought-iron lamp bracket. 12-pane glazing.
Some interior work, including panelled shutters, survives.
S SIDE: 7-bay terrace, with unfortunate modern lift projecting. 2 boldly moulded Ionic doorpieces, that to E now a window. Elaborate wrought-iron lamp bracket to W doorway. Some 12-pane glazing survives.
Designed in unison with Nos 37-49 and 51-53 Virginia Street. The best street surviving unified street and court complex of the period.
