Baron Marochetti's fine equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington, partly obscured by a traffic cone, stands outside the Glasgow Gallery of Modern Art. What began as a prank by revellers has become almost a city trademark after Glasgow Council gave up removing the cone only to find it repeatedly replaced.
