Description

Style of Thomson and Turnbull, and perhaps by Robert
Turnbull. Probably later 1870s (built in 3 phases).
Thomsonesque 3-storey and attic tenement with shops at
ground, stone-cleaned yellow ashlar above; horizontal
courses, pilasters rise out of 1st floor window jambs to
support individual entablatures with disc detailing;
single window bays (sash windows with 4-pane glazing
pattern) except recessed canted corner bays and full-
height canted bay at N end of either flank elevation;
dormers look 19th century; stacks much altered; modern
tile roof.
