Description

James Miller 1898. 4-storey, 4-by 5-bay corner tenement with modernised pub and shop at ground floor. Glasgow style

ashlar. Plain ground floor altered except Norfolk Street

stair entrance: Corbelled octagonal turret from 1st to 3rd

floors with elaborate carving over 3rd and ogee roof. 2 large

arched windows to Norfolk Street under corbelled oriels

extending through 2nd and 3rd floors. A similar oriel to

Bridge Street and corbelled stack projecting from 1st floor.

Windows 2-paned sash and case, except where arched. Prominent

keystones. Slate roof and tall stacks. Swept roof oriels and

bellcast roof to turret with finial.
