Description

Built circa 1847 for Glasgow Barrhead and Neilston Railway. Station. Lomg rectangular-plan with single storey (W) elevation to embanked platform and track. 2-storey elevation to Pollockshaws Road. Red brick (unusually for date) with contrasting long and short worked ashlar dressings. Broad eaved slate roof with paired axial stacks.

Stone built iron-railed embankment wall to roadside.
