Description

1864 with additions 1871 Large 2-storey asymmetrical
late classic mansion with formal garden. Main south east
elevation 4 window, left hand section projected,
single storey four light canted bay with Doric
pilastered angles corners and open arcaded parapet.
Pilastered porch in re-entrant angle, keyblocked
architraved doorpiece, arcaded parapet as at bay,
beading, right-hand ground floor windows architraved
with consoled block pediments. 2 window north east
flank with similar treatment and 1871 rear addition
consisting of 2 window link to block with shallow
rectangular bipartite bay. South west flank of main
block 3 window and piended single storey 4 window range
to rear. Low pitched piended slated roof on wooden
brackets. Truncated front and ashlar corniced; rear
stacks. Very ornate Renaissance interior with rich
gilded plasterwork. Rubble garden wall with rusticated
ashlar gatepiers. Garden terraces, with pierced
parapets, rusticated piers with ball finials.
