Description

John Henderson (Edinburgh) 1846-7 Decorated style. Nave
aisled on north west flank only, 5 buttressed bays of
tall 2-light windows with gabled porch with 2 orders of
shafts second bay from left. Lower unbuttressed chancel,
one bay extended to two, again with 2-light windows,
curvilinear tracery throughout, diagonal buttresses west
and east, stepped throughout, continuous moulded base
course. Slated roofs, steeply pitched, with straight
skews, gablet skewputts and cross finials. Interior:
arcade with massive piers. Braced collar beam roof to
nave and pointed panelled chancel ceiling. Roodbeam.
Delicately painted organcase.
