Description

Mid 19th century with later 19th century alterations. 2-storey and attic 3-bay of dwelling. Cream snecked sandstone rubble; ashlar margins and cills. At ground, pedestrian pend to far left giving access to No 59, 3 bays displaced to right; deep-set glazed panelled door with 3-pane letterbox fanlight at centre. At 1st floor, 2 right bays aligned with ground floor, left bay with bipartite window. Pair of small piend-roofed slate-hunt dormers. Blank end gable.

Rear elevation with projecting piend-roofed stair tower at centre. 12-pane timber sash and case windows (6-pane to dormers). Grey slates; ashlar skews; ashlar faced and coped stack.

Statement of Interest

Sensitively detailed end of terrace property in appropriate materials. Group with 59 and 61 Castlegate.
