Description

Mid to later 18th century, with later additions. 2-storey 3-bay rectangular plan house, abacking higher ground to W; single storey additions to N and S. Sandstone rubble, squared for dressings, painted margins. E ELEVATION: 3 bays grouped irregularly; door off-centre to right (light, timber porch addition), small window to 1st floor; windows to each floor in flanking bays, that to ground at outer right notably enlarged. S ELEVATION: harled; later single storey, rubble sand-stone, lean-to outbuildings abutting at ground.

W ELEVATION: single storey on raised ground; 2 small windows.

N ELEVATION: harled recessed bay linking house to single storey single bay absorbed from neighbouring cottage row to N (possibly 18th century). 12-pane timber sash and case windows (1 2-pane upper sash) to E elevation. Grey-green slates. Harled end stacks to steeply pitched gables.
