Mid 19th century. 3-storey 3-bay bank on corner site with offices to rear. Angle feature. Snecked cream sandstone rubble; cills.
SE (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: 2-tone granite faced modern bank front at ground. Upper floors with windows to each bay; 2nd floor windows shorter, with cill course. Cornice and blocking course above. Rounded angle recessed.
NE (JEWELLERS WYND) ELEVATION: 8-bay, storeys decreasing. 3-storey 4-bay block at left with window to each bay and floor; to far left (at
corner) pilastered and corniced ashlar doorcase (painted grey) with panelled door and rectangular fanlight. Large box dormer to right, single window dormer to left. Addition beyond; two 2-storey bays to outer right, 1st with bipartite windows, 2 single storey bays, 1st with door, last with bipartite window.
Small-pane (12- and 9-) timber sash and case glazing throughout. Gabled and piended roofs; saw-tooth skews; grey slates.
Telling machine installed 1993.
