Statement of Interest

'Fife-Keith' established 1817 as planned village by Earl of

Fife, the Mar Place end of the new settlement terminating the grid-pattern 'new town'. Nos 46 and 48 Duff Street have small

former steadings to rear, now much altered, but presumably

enabling the tenants to follow a small holding or crofting

agricultural activity nearby. Interesting survival.

Outbuildings much altered and not included in listing.

Change of Category: B for Group to C(S), 24.3.88
