Description

1859. Goldie and Hadfield. Single storey, 3-bay Gothic
school with wing of 1889. L-plan. Snecked and stugged
rubble with ashlar dressings and quoins. Original west
wing with central projecting porch, recessed door with
haunched head under pointed arch with moulded reveals and
nook shafts, gabled with cross at apex. 2 flanking
geometric traceried windows with finialled gable heads.
Similarly traceried window in gable end. 1889 2-bay wing
with similar details on south elevation. Simple paired
lancets in finialled eastern gable end. Slate roof with
later roof lights.

Statement of Interest

'A Group' with St Mary's Church, Presbytery and Precinct Gates. Originally Primary School.

Up-graded category B to A August 1999.
