Description

Early 19th century. 3-storey and attic, 4-bay tenement in irregular terrace with shops at ground. Stugged sandstone ashlar to front, Cornice above ground floor, 2nd floor cill band course, blocking course with central panel as chimney. Raised quoins.

NW ELEVATION: pend entrance off-centre left with timber gate; 3 doorways within pend, that to centre at right with pilastered and corniced doorpiece in round-arched recess, 2 3-centred arches in pend ceilings. Shopfront to right tripartite; 2 leaf outer doors to centre with flanking plate glass windows, glazed vestibule doors. Shopfront to left; 2-leaf doors, rectangular fanlight with geometric glazing, window to left, blocked cellar opening beneath cill with decorative iron brattishing. Regular fenestration at 1st and 2nd floor. 2 bowed dormers above.

12-pane timber sash and case windows at 1st floor, 1 at 2nd floor and to dormers. Graded grey slate pitched roof, coped skews, Broad brick gablehead stacks.
