Description

Bellman-type hangar designed 1937, this example erected circa 1942, and now with steel secondary cladding. Large and rectangular-plan, sliding aircraft doors full length of each gable.

Statement of Interest

Montrose is the oldest military airfield in Scotland being used from 1912.
