Description

Earlier to mid 19th century. 2-storey 5-bay hotel with gabled extensions to rear. Whinstone rubble, rendered and lined to front,

pebble-dash to rear. Base course; raised margins; exposed rafters.

S (FRONT) ELEVATION: bays grouped closely, pilastered and corninced doorway to centre, plate glass fanlight; regular fenestration. Secondary doorway to outer right; 2 outer windows at 1st floorblinded. 2 canted dormers.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: variety of gabled and 2-storey additions.

12-pane timber sash and case windows. Purple and grey slate roof with metal flashings. Ashlar skew and mutual stack to W with thack stane.

INTERIOR: not seen 1994.
