Description

Large quartz rock approx. 1m diameter set into recess in wall of
Whitestone Park. Metal plaque to right.

Statement of Interest

The rock is said to have been carried to this location during the ice age, and it has long been used as a boundary mark for the burgh. It was referred to as early as 1462.
