Late 19th century. 2-storey 3-bay villa. Whinstone rubble with cream sandstone front elevation and dressings. Regular fenestration; chamfered arrises; 1st floor windows breaking eaves with gabled dormerheads.
SW (FRONT) ELEVATION: at centre, roll-moulded doorcase with consoled cornice and block pediment; panelled door with plate glass fanlight; projecting bipartite window to right with crenellated parapet. To left projecting gabled window bay, canted at ground (bipartite to front) and gradually corbelling to square at 1st floor; bipartite window; finial at apex. To left, blank set back single storey single bay service wing.
NW ELEVATION: projecting single storey service wing at ground with gable at centre. Main block gabled with window to left at 1st floor; apex stack.
NE (PARK) ELEVATION: stair window at centre; full-height canted window to left with crenellated parapet.
SE ELEVATION: gabled; triangular-headed window to left at 1st floor.
Timber sash and case plate glass windows (4-pane to single windows). Grey slates; terracotta ridge tiles; ashlar coped skews; corbel and gablet skewputts; coped ashlar stacks with octagonal cans. Cast-iron downpipes (square section) with decorative fixtures and hoppers
INTERIOR: not seen 1994.
BOUNDARY WALLS: low rubble road with saddleback ashlar coping to road; adjoins park gates; taller wall with boulder coping to park.
