In the 1950's the castle was occupied by a Mr Dawson who delivered fruit & vegetables round Perth by horse & cart. He only had one good arm & if we helped by getting the customers orders we were rewarded with an apple or orange & a ride on the cart.When I delivered his newspapers I had to climb to the top of the stairs to collect payment.
