3-storey ashlar office block, slightly angled frontage, 4
slightly advanced and pedimented tripartite bays with 6, 5
and 6-window sections between. Pedimented doorpieces with
incised ornament.
Plaque on wall records "In 1885 offices within this building
were the birthplace of the General Accident Fire & Life
Assurance Corporation".
