Late 17th century, early 18th century. Single storey with basement and attic dwelling houses. Squared and snecked rubble; ashlar margins.
E (PRINCIPLE) ELEVATION: central door with fanlight; flanking door to left; flanking window to right; stone parapet access. Arched recesses lead to basement doors; window in right bay. 3 platform dormer windows and attic light. Splayed corner at N.
S ELEVATION: adjoining building.
W ELEVATION: adjoining building.
N ELEVATION: window at basement and ground floor.
Modern glazing. Slate roof; crowstepped skew to N; coped stack at N gablehead.
Possibly a remnant of a row of cottages that predated the S-facing buildings on the High Street. A similar building, dated 1712, has been assimilated into the Stags Head Hotel. There was a similar row of cottages behind East Terrace of which only a couple survive.
