Uploader's Comments

This magnificent tomb of the founder was built sometime between 1450 and 1465. It was originally to be in the cathedral but the Bishop chose this site in his own chapel. It was damaged during the Reformation and by the deliberate collapsing of the original barrel vaulted roof in 1773. 19th Century restorers also caused damage but it remains an impressive monument.
