Description

Probably early 19th century, altered, with 2 dormers added probably early 20th century. Inn. 2 low storeys and attic, long symmetrically disposed front with centre door, 5 bays at ground, 3 at 1st floor level (wide unwindowed area to right); harled, painted ashlar margins; sash windows at ground with 8-pane glazing; 1st floor windows 6-pane, including 2-pane top hoppers - glazing in pedimented dormers similar, but 2-light, with glazed dormer cheeks. Modern centre skylight probably replaces an original; slate roof, end stacks. Fascia board above door; iron-bracketed inn sign (a 5-pointed star).
