Probably 19th century after 17th century precedent. Circular stone garden seat resting on 4 stone standing lions and with central shaft carved above seat and at head of polygonal shaft below small pedestalled ball finial.
Brought to the Woodland Garden from the formal garden in 1955, probably one of the many purchases for Sir James Miller by Lord Duveen for the gardens.
