Joseph Weekes, 1937. Single storey, L-plan, Arts and Crafts, Baronial style police station. White-painted harl with base course, raised cills; slightly projecting eaves.
N ELEVATION: squat, round tower entrance set in re-entrant angle; narrow door, upper part 6-pane, bell-cast slate roof, terracotta finial. Jamb advanced to right, 2 large windows symmetrically disposed; narrow window to left of entrance.
16-pane, 2-pane over 4-pane sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof, lead ridge tiles.
The former police station is a good unaltered example of Joseph Weekes style.
