Later 19th century. 2-storey over raised basement, 3-bay, rectangular- plan villa with Baronial details. Stugged, squared and snecked sandstone with ashlar margins and dressings. Rusticated base; curved arrises; chamfered arrises; moulded eaves.
S (MAIN) ELEVATION: ashlar steps with stepped ashlar balustrade; droved ashlar doorpiece; balconette parapet on brackets with nailhead motif, monogram ABJS in raised disc at centre of parapet; acorn leaf frieze. 4-panelled wooden door, plate glass fanlight, inner half-glazed vestibule door. Window directly above. Slightly advanced gabled bay to outer right, full-height canted ashlar window at centre; monogram JE between floors. Slightly advanced bipartite window to outer left, AR monogram between floors, pediment with lancet breaking eaves above.
N ELEVATION: 3 bays, 2-bay gable apex stack, windows symmetrically disposed, bay slightly recessed to outer left. Grilles over lights to basement.
E ELEVATION: 4 bays, blank bay to penultimate left with shouldered wallhead stack. Grilled openings to basement.
Plate glass timber sash and case windows. Grey slate roof, lead flashings; coped wallhead, apex stacks.
GATES AND GATEPIERS: Paired ashlar incised triangular decoration on pier, ashlar candlesnuffer caps, ball finial; pedestrian gates to outer left and right. Cast-iron arrowhead railings.
