Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay symmetrical house of rectangular plan. Roughcast walls with painted dressings. Raised margins at openings and projecting cills at windows.

NE (REAR) ELEVATION: 3 bays, external stair with brick and roughcast balustrade accessing upper floor, entrance door at centre with narrow window at left.

NW (ST JOHN STREET) ELEVATION: 2-bay gable end with windows at ground floor only.

Modern glazing to ground floor openings. Plate glass timber sash and case windows at principal front 1st floor windows, 4-pane timber sash and case to left of rear entrance door. Grey slate roof with cast-iron gutters and downpipes. Yellow brick coped apex stacks and roughcast skew copes.

BOUNDARY WALL: random rubble wall to St John Street and Shore Street, with concrete semicircular cope and vertically-boarded timber door to St John Street.
