Description

Earlier 19th century. 2-storey 11-bay row of 5 terraced houses. Coursed dressed red sandstone with polished dressings. Quoin strips, base course and eaves course; 1st floor windows hard under eaves. Regular fenestration.

2-bay returns with shouldered wallhead stacks. Variety of windows. Piended roof; ashlar coped mutual skews; grey slates; ashlar wallhead stacks, brick mutual stacks (1 reduced).

Statement of Interest

Catrine was built to provide housing for the local mill which formerly adjoined Mill Square to the W. B Group with the Old Mill Inn and Mill Square.
