Early 19th century with later additions and alterations and possibly incorporating earlier fabric. 2-storey, 4-bay irregular terraced tenement with shop accommodation at ground (later 19th century shop front). Painted line-render; painted harl to rear. Base course; droved ashlar flush long and short quoins to outer left.
NW (MARKET PLACE) ELEVATION: inner bays grouped closely together. Fixed-pane plate glass shopwindow at ground of bay to inner left with window at 1st floor above. Glazed modern door at ground of bay to inner right with window at 1st floor above. Window to each floor of bay to outer right. Door (enlarged) at ground of bay to outer left; blank at 1st floor above.
SE ELEVATION: irregular disposition at openings.
Modern glazing to 1st floor; fixed-2-pane window at ground of bay to outer right. Slate roof with whinstone and ashlar coped mutual stack to NE.
INTERIOR: not seen, 1996.
