Later 18th century, refronted in mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay gabled farmhouse with linking gabled pavilions forming U-plan court to rear. Rubble with ashlar margins and dressings.
SE (MAIN) ELEVATION: (mid 19th century) door at centre, window above, flanking advanced gabled bays, bipartite window at ground, pointed arch window at 1st floor, Y-tracery glazing. Link bay with window to gabled flanking pavilions, conical capped finial; arrowslit ventilation.
NW (REAR) ELEVATION: (original) 3 widely spaced bays symmetrically disposed, low curved porch entrance to right of centre, conical slate roof, door on right return, modern door. Small windows.
OUTBUILDINGS: U-plan rubble range; boarded doors; various enlarged and blocked openings, lean-to implement shed to NW.
Plate glass timber sash and case windows, upper floor with Y-tracery sash and case windows to front; 4-pane timber sash and case windows at rear. Graded grey slate roof, lead flashings, cast-iron rooflights; broad coped ridge stacks, circular cans.
Shemore is typical of the courtyard farms on the Luss Estate.
