Mid to later 19th century, altered at ground. 3-storey, 2-bay, piend-roofed tenement with shop at ground, closing terrace on corner site. Ashlar, painted at ground. Eaves cornice. Pedimented and corniced windows, raised lugged margins, and stop chamfered arrises.
N (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: unsympathetic modern shop with deep fascia to ground; 1st floor with 2 pedimented bipartite windows and 2 windows to 2nd floor.
W (TOLBOOTH STREET) ELEVATION: largely blank to ground with door to outer right and small display window to left; 1st floor with bipartite window to left of centre, window in bay to right and adjacent narrower window to outer right, all corniced; 2nd floor with window to left of centre and windows to right as 1st floor.
Mainly 6-pane glazing pattern at 2nd floor with 2-pane glazing over plate glass lower sashes to 1st floor N, all in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Cavetto coped and shouldered wallhead ashlar stack with some cans to W.
Listed for group value closing terrace in High Street position.
