Squared sandstone rubble (random rubble to NE addition; harled NW addition) with shaped rubble, chamfered surrounds to windows; base course; raised, painted cills to windows; eaves course.
SW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: irregular 7-bay, with 5-bay extension set back to left (NW), incorporating 2-bay garage and 3 bay, canopied block to centre. Pointed-arch window in each remaining bay of original lodge to right; window to left return.
SE ELEVATION: pointed-arch window to each end of 3-bay original canted block to left with blank, extended wall to right.
Fixed diamond-paned, zinc pointed-arch windows; 2-pane timber sash and case windows to addition; grey slate piended roof; slate to additions; substantial ashlar coped stack to centre ridge of original lodge; cast-iron rainwater goods.
