Description

Mid - later 19th century with 20th century additions. 2 storey, 3 bay, symmetrical classical house; single storey wing adjoining to S; single storey and attic modern extension to N. Squared and snecked cream sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. Base course; advanced cills to 1st and 2nd floor windows; cornice; blocking course.

E (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central doorway; panelled door; plate glass fanlight; corbelled corniced doorpiece; single window to 1st floor above. Single windows to both floors in flanking bays.

12 pane, timber sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; coped wallhead stacks.

INTERIOR: not seen 1996.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND PEDESTRIAN GATES: low coped boundary wall to street; high rubble mutual wall to N; no railings. Pedestrian gates adjoining house to N and S; modern cast iron gates.
