Mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, classical house with single storey, 1-bay pavilion wings to each side. Painted ashlar front, harled and painted 1 side, squared and snecked rubble stone to other side and rear, base course, eaves band, cornice and wallhead, pilaster ends, ashlar dressings, moulded margins.
W (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: central, modern entrance door recessed in pilastered surround beneath Greek Doric porch, plain architrave, triglyph frieze and cornice. Window above at 1st floor. Bays flanking with pilastered and corniced, canted windows at ground floor. Window centred at 1st floor above. Single storey wings to left and right set back, window to right, garage door conversion to left.
S ELEVATION: gable end with ground floor wing advanced.
N ELEVATION: gable end with ground floor wing advanced, window to right at 1st floor.
E ELEVATION: central projecting bay housing staircase, small window at ground floor tall window above. Bay to right with French windows at ground floor, window above. Additional projecting bay added to left of stairs, harled windows at ground and 1st floor, window in return to left. Bay to left windows at ground and 1st floor. Window and modern door in wing to left. Plain margins. Outbuilding attached to wing at right.
Replacement uPVC windows and doors throughout, dark grey slate, stone skews, corniced ashlar gablehead stacks,
INTERIOR: inner porch with etched glass depictions of St Peter and St Paul.
BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: rubble stone boundary walls to E, N and S, low wall, coursed, tooled finish with coping to W, no railings. Double octagonal gatepiers.
Originally a UP Manse. Latterly burgh offices.
