Earlier 19th century. 2-storey and attic, 5-bay near square-plan hotel facing harbour. Harl. Base course; architraved surrounds to windows.
SW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: single window at ground to centre; flanking entrances at ground; timber doors with letterbox fanlights; single windows at ground to outer left and right. Regular fenestration at 1st floor. 2 gabled timber bargeboarded dormers at attic.
Predominantly 4-pane timber sash and case glazing; rooflight. Modern concrete roof tiles; broad coped ridge stack; polygonal cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1997.
A large 19th century hotel facing the harbour. Its roof line is lower than the adjacent No 7 (see separate list description). The hotel is a historical reminder of Portpatrick's importance as a 19th century port crossing to Ireland.
