Description

Mid 19th century with later alterations and additions, re-slated, 1997. 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular-plan symmetrical house with flat-roofed single storey addition set back to right, built on ground falling to E; walled garden to E and to S. Harled with concrete dressings at ground; 1st floor windows hugging eaves.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: bracketed cornice over modern glazed architraved door at ground in bay to centre; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in each bay flanking. Window in addition to outer right.

W (SIDE) ELEVATION: single bay gabled wall. Window at 1st floor to left; gablehead stack above.

2-pane timber sash and case windows; modern window to addition. Modern asbestos felt roof covering; concrete ridge; rooflights to S pitch; concrete skews; harled coped gablehead stack to E and W (extended to E); uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1997.

WALLED GARDENS: rubble wall enclosing small garden with rubble lean-to shed to E angle sited to S; rubble wall enclosing larger rectangular-plan garden to E.

Statement of Interest

Re-slated in natural stone in 1997, at which time it underwent window and harl repairs.
