Statement of Interest

The Bogie Estate, once belonging to the Wemyss family, is recorded in a charter of 1569 as having a tower and fortalice; it later boasted a mansion by Gillespie Graham "in the form of a castle", the NSA continues "Bogie is considered one of the most desirable properties in the county". By 1895 the mansion and Wester Bogie were the property of Robert Davidson of Bogie, and Bogie Easter belonged to John Oswald of Dunnikier.
