18th century, altered 19th century. 2-storey, 2-bay house in terrace to SE. Squared and snecked rubble with ashlar quoins and raised cills.
SE (MAIN STREET) ELEVATION: Bay to right of centre with 3-part timber door and decoratively-astragalled fanlight, opening for former night safe immediately to right, and large bipartite window in altered bay to left. 2 windows to 1st floor breaking eaves into gabled stone dormerheads.
SW ELEVATION: gable to right with tall tripartite window at ground and further window to left at 1st floor; slightly recessed bay with window to outer left.
NW (REAR) ELEVATION: asymmetrical elevation with window to ground in projecting gabled bay to right of centre.
4-pane and plate glass glazing patterns in timber sash and windows. Grey slates. Coped ashlar stacks with polygonal cans; ashlar-coped skews with moulded skewputts.
Formerly a bank with adjoining No 17 (listed separately) as bankhouse. Group with 7-17 and 6-28 Main Street.
