Description

Mid 19th century with later additions. Single storey with attic, 4-bay central block with single storey, 2-bay flanking wings forming symmetrical 8-bay block (each cottage 4-bay); single storey additions at rear. Squared and snecked tooled sandstone; timber bargeboards. Stugged quoins; stugged long and short surrounds to lightly droved, stop-chamfered margins; sandstone mullions to bipartites; projecting cills.

SW (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central block with single windows at ground off-set to left and right of centre; bipartite windows at ground in bays to outer left and right; gabled bipartite dormers (breaking eaves) centred above, timber finials. Flanking wings with boarded timber doors in bays to right and left respectively; 2-pane fanlights; single windows in bays to outer left and right.

NE (REAR) ELEVATION: not seen 1998.

4-pane upper, plate glass lower glazing in timber sash and case windows to front. Grey slate roofs; cast-iron rainwater goods. Brick apex stacks; circular cans.

INTERIORS: not seen 1998.
