Later 19th century with later additions and alterations. Single storey, 3-bay cottage with gabled wing at rear forming T-plan; later lean-to addition at rear. Squared and snecked tooled sandstone to front and side (SW); harl-pointed sandstone rubble to side (NE) and rear; lightly droved sandstone ashlar dressings. Overhanging timber bracketed eaves. Ashlar quoins; long and short surrounds to stop-chamfered openings; sandstone mullions; projecting cills. Gabled porch.
SE (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: step to boarded timber door centred at ground. Projecting gabled porch to front with carved, banded timber columnar supports, half timbered gablehead, timber bargeboards. Bipartite windows in flanking bays.
NE (SIDE) ELEVATION: single window centred in front wing. Single window off-set to left of centre in single storey wing recessed to right.
NW (REAR) ELEVATION: gabled wing advanced at centre with single window in bay to right. Small window in lean-to addition adjoined to right.
SW (SIDE) ELEVATION: single window centred in front wing. Blind elevation to lean-to addition to outer left.
Plate glass and 4-pane glazing in timber sash and case windows. Graded grey slate roof; timber bargeboards. Central sandstone ridge stack; circular cans.
INTERIOR: not seen 1998.
