Statement of Interest

One of the older surviving buildings in Murray Street and with mid-19th Century shop windows. The north wall of the pend shows itself, where the plaster covering has been removed, to be of brick construction with timber framing. This is an interesting example of brick being used in Montrose in the early 19th Century for purposes other than chimneys and stacks.
