Statement of Interest

A relatively plain, traditional and intact former manse, originally associated with the Summerhill Burgher Church once set immediately behind (demolished 1936). The bull-faced render is thought to cover a rubble sandstone front - similar to those at the nearby 'Summerhill' and 'The Retreat' (see separate list entries 'Ayton, Beanburn').
