Description

Circa 1920. Cream sandstone war memorial comprising square-plan base; stepped, octagonal-plan plinth beneath cross with coped, octagonal-plan shafts and sword embossed on N elevation. Pedestal inscribed 'Ye are Bought with a Price' to N; embossed memorial plaques aligned above.

Statement of Interest

Set on the green opposite the picturesque, Flemish style terrace which makes up Foulden village - see separate list entries. An unusual war memorial, particularly notable for being cross-shaped.
