Circa 1825. Single storey, gate lodge/former session house to Lecropt Church formed of interlocking gabled blocks sited in churchyard and on roadside. Pink rubble sandstone with contrasting ashlar dressings, polished and droved. Base course. Stone and timber mullions, deeply chamfered reveals. Basket-arched lintels to openings of principal elevations.
W ELEVATION: projecting doorpiece to left with basket-arched doorway and 2-leaf boarded door, window flanking to
right, slightly advanced gabled bay to outer right with timber mullioned bipartite window.
E ELEVATION: road elevation with door flanked by windows to road elevation on slightly rising ground.
S ELEVATION: small window on gabled end elevation to right with projecting lower gabled section extending to left.
N ELEVATION: taller recessed gabled block to left with timber mullioned bipartite, lower advanced gabled bay to right with bipartite.
Timber sash and case windows with small-pane glazing pattern. Graded grey slate roof. Linked and coped ashlar stacks to central ridge and single stack to service gablehead.
Lecropt Church is listed at Category A and the railings listed with the church adjoin the cottage.
