A Category C Listed Building in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire.
Mid 19th century. 3-part octagonal column, dressed sandstone, estate boundary marker post. Conical cap with jettied upper part and octagonal base; enlarged reverse cavetto moulded necking; height, approximately 1.5 metres.
One of two extant boundary marker posts to the former Coltness estate. The estate was purchased by the Houldsworth family in 1836 who carried an extensive programme of building and estate improvement between 1856 and 1870. The estate was sold to Dr Barnardos in 1952 and demolished in the 1970s.
At the corner in Stewarton park Wishaw crossroad area stewarton street ,greenhead road ,dimsdale road.A Category C listed building even though its 1.5 metres high..
