Description

Circa 1860. 2-storey, 4-bay, rectangular-plan, gabled, plain classical tenement with shops to ground. Yellow ashlar sandstone to facade, squared and snecked rubble to sides and rear. Base course, dividing band between 1st and 2nd storey, eaves course, profiled guttering. Lugged cavetto moulded architraves to upper storey windows.

E (PRINCIPAL ELEVATION: shouldered-arched carriage entrance to outer left bay; plate glass shop fronts to single bay shop to centre and 3-bay symmetrical shop to right; architraved entrance with projecting canopy.

W (REAR) ELEVATION: irregular fenestration.

S (SIDE) ELEVATION: obscured by abutting building.

N (SIDE) ELEVATION: obscured by abutting building.

INTERIOR: modern shop fittings to ground, tenements in use as offices to upper storey.

Plate glass sash and case windows. Grey slates, lead flashing. Cast-iron rainwater goods. Coped gable stacks.
