Mid 19th century. Cast-iron milepost. Flat rectangular post; approximately 0.75m in height and slightly curved in section. Formerly painted. Bears low relief of hand pointing towards Glasgow. 'GLASGOW ROYAL EXCHANGE 20' in raised letters above; 'BALFRON 1' below.
