Description

Late 18th century. Single storey, square-plan, squared coursed pink sandstone, piended roof water reservoir house, set near Pitlour House stable court. Ashlar dressings. Boarded round arched door.

INTERIOR: 18th century stone water tank with fibreglass watertank inserted within, 2000 (information from owner, 2014).

Statement of Interest

A rare survival of an 18th century estate reservoir building connected to Pitlour House (see separate listing). It is a significant ancillary of the estate policies, and was essential for running a house such as Pitlour, prior to the early 20th century.
