History

The Goods Station was constructed in 1865 at the time of the extension of the line westwards to Corwen.

Exterior

This building is of dark red brick with classical detailing and slate roof with boarded eaves. 6 bays, 21 m long and capable of holding 13 wagons; parallel track to S. Wagons enter at W end with pediment treatment to gable and stepped capitals to pilasters. Segmental arched high entry to right with sliding boarded doors; the track passes through the shed on the S side.
N side has 2 similar tall segmental arched doorways to the 2nd and 5th bays; similar pilasters. The E gable end has simple pediment treatment as on the W gable and similar tall wagon doorway; chimney stack rises on the gable.
2-storey square projection to centre with corner pilasters cornice and hipped roof with boarded eaves; 9 pane sash windows to front with freestone lintels; later flat roof extension to N side.
Corrugated shed to S side.

Interior

Whitewashed internal walls with pilasters below each truss; railway tracks to both sides. Staircase to the upper floor of the office projection at E end. Queen post trusses. Two 1 ton cranes.
