An C18 or early C19 cottage, with facade detail characteristic of the later C19.
A single-fronted 2-storey cottage, built in a range with the lower extension of No 2 Berry Street (although their rear roof slopes differ, indicating different dates), of whitened pebble-dash front with black-painted smooth-rendered plinth, architraves, angle pilaster strips and eaves band, under a steep slate roof with shared roughcast stack to the R. The entrance on the L has a boarded door. Windows are 4-pane horned sashes in architraves, with pediment in the lower storey.
The rear is of rubble stone and has replacement windows.
Not inspected.
Listed as a rare surviving small cottage in the town centre, retaining C19 character, and for group value within the historical townscape.
