Built in the period 1834-52 and first shown on the 1852 town plan.
A late Georgian style 3-bay house of 2 storeys with attic and basement, with a symmetrical scribed stucco front, hipped slate roof on wide bracketed eaves, and roughcast stacks to the R and L. The central bay is brought forward. Its doorway has a doorcase comprising Ionic pilasters to a moulded entablature, and a replaced door. In the lower storey are tripartite small-pane hornless sash windows, while the upper storey has 12-pane hornless sash windows. A lean-to is set back to the R (a separate property). On the L side are boarded garage doors to a lean-to behind a high coped wall.
The symmetrical rear has central double half-lit panelled doors with margin glazing and raised field above. The outer bays have tripartite horned sashes above replaced basement windows, while the upper storey has 12-pane hornless sash windows similar to the front. A gabled dormer L of centre incorporates a top-hung casement.
The original plan form has been retained which comprised the principal rooms on the ground floor with kitchen in the basement and service rooms in the attic. The main entrance leads to a vestibule with classical plaster cornice and a round arch leading to a stair hall behind. The latter retains a full-height open-well stair with wreathed handrail, plain balusters and moulded tread ends. All doors were replaced when the house was converted to offices.
Listed as a well-preserved early C19 house of distinctive character, and for its contribution to Wellington Terrace, a fine suburban development representing the rising prosperity of Caernarfon consequent upon the growth of its port.
